Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was one such writer. A columnist, editor, writer, dramatist, novelist and a painter, a true genius, he was born on May 7, 1861 in Kolkata's Jorasanko Thakurbari in a Pirali Brahmin family. This day marked the birth of a great genius in the history of mankind.
